Beignets

This morning Trey and I made Beignets!  This attempt was much more successful than our first attempt which ended with Trey, Mia, and I sitting on the porch with all the windows and doors open in the apartment in order to let the smoke clear.  There was much less smoke this time and the windows were only open for precautionary measures.  Since we end up opening the windows Mia really likes when we make beignets!!

Red Fish!!

When I went home for a week in June my parents and I went on a fishing trip with a guide.  Although we have been fishing many times before this was considerably one of the best trips.  We limited out in red fish in 3 hours and then the guide cleaned them all for us!! We had a night of grilled red fish at home but I was able to bring some back to gainesville with me. Trey and I were finally able to cook it last weekend and it was really really good.  I was also excited because this was Trey and mine’s first time cooking fish and it came out really well!   Mia was pretty interested in the smell and of course insisted on eating with us.  It was pretty cute :). 

Kitty Tent

One day I had left my laundry basket out after putting up laundry and Mia decided it was a great kitty tent. I especially like when she decided that there was enough room for her to crawl underneath the basket and thought she was hiding.

Mia's New Comforter

I found this set (comforter, shams, and bedskirt) online from JCPenney. I put it on the bed last night and tacked the bedskirt at the bottom so that I could see if I liked it and before I had even finished, Mia decided that she loved it!! I went to start dishes and do laundry etc. and when I was turning off the lights about to go to bed I was looking for her and she was already curled up asleep on the bed. 

This morning the bedskirt had fallen (or been pulled) from where I had it and she was hiding underneath it waiting to pounce me as I came out of the bathroom.
